Instant Pot Marinara Sauce
Ingredients:
1 cup chopped onion
3 28oz cans whole tomato
2T extra virgin olive oil
2T minced garlic
1/4t crushed red pepper
Salt to taste
10 large basil leaves, chopped
Turn on Instant Pot on sauté mode and heat the olive oil. Sauté the onion, garlic and crushed red pepper for one minute. Add the remaining ingredients (EXCEPT FOR THE BASIL LEAVES) to the Instant Pot and stir to combine. Cancel sauté mode. Press the manual mode and set the timer for 20 minutes. Let the Instant Pot naturally release.
Using an immersion blender, blend the sauce to the desired consistency. Stir in the basil leaves.
Makes approximately 78 ounces.
