Puffy Parmesan Stars
Ingredients:
1 puff pastry sheet
1 egg, beaten
5 T grated parmesan cheese
Chopped chives and salt
Preheat oven to 360 degrees and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Roll out the puff pastry sheet onto a floured surface. Use a small star shaped cookie cutter to cut out individual pastry stars and place them on the baking sheet.
Brush the stars with the beaten egg. Top with parmesan cheese, salt and the chopped chives.
Bake in the oven for 10-12 minutes, until the stars are puffed and golden. Sprinkle with more chopped chives and salt if desired.
Serve immediately or keep in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
